Hi, I’m Lauren! I’ve always been drawn to making things, especially things that take a little time and patience to get right.

My journey started with sourdough. For years, I was fascinated by it but convinced it was too complicated to actually learn. Eventually, I decided to give it a try, and it opened up a whole world of baking, experimenting, and learning that I still find interesting.

That same curiosity eventually led me to crochet and knitting, where I’ve started developing my own patterns and getting to know an entirely different kind of creative community. I love how niche these hobbies can be. There is always another technique to learn, another detail to figure out, or some oddly specific thing to become completely interested in.

A lot of what I enjoy about all of this comes down to slowing down and being intentional with my time. I like hobbies that make you pay attention, use your hands, and give you something tangible at the end of it. I’m interested in the process just as much as the finished product, and I’m excited to keep exploring these slower, more thoughtful ways of making.
